Family Movie Night
Can't put me finger on what lies in store, but I feel what's to 'appen, all 'appened before!
Last weekend's Marry Poppins Family Movie Night was, indubitably, a huge success. Children made their own kites and hats, enjoyed a snow cone truck, yummy popcorn and more! Families were entertained by a personal appearance from Mary Poppins, penguin performance from our children’s choir members and blasts from confetti cannons.
Don’t miss out on more supercalifrajalisticexpialidocious movie nights in 2015!
Mission Trip: New Orleans!
Members of our Celebration Choir & Orchestra served in New Orleans on an extended weekend mission trip.
The group worked with the Downtown Rescue Mission to help clean out a warehouse to make room for a renovation project, worked in the community garden, and helped prepare lunch for the residents of the Mission.
The group sang for the Church Without Walls (a ministry to the homeless) that meets in a park right by the Mississippi River. The Parks Department gave the church the run-around about using electricity. But, right when it was time to set up the keyboard to use for the worship service, a park security guard showed us exactly where to plug in for power. This was such a powerful morning!
