Garage Sale
The Garage Sale is a Student Ministry fundraiser that is held the second weekend in June(June 8-9)to help our students (grades 9-12), their parents and sponsors earn scholarship funds to aid in their cost for summer camp, mission trip, choir trip, etc. A careful record of each worker’s schoarship is kept and funds are subtracted from their scholarship account according to their instructions. Their earnings can be applied to any student ministry event from June through April. The annual Easter Retreat is the last event that these funds may be used for. After this event, the remaining funds will be placed in our scholarship account or may go toward next year’s garage sale expenses.
Garage Sale Collection:
- Please box or bag your donations before bringing or having your items picked up.
- Bring your items to one of our storage bins located just north of the Activites Center beginning May 15 until June 6.
- Take gas motors needing repair (mowers, edgers, etc.) to Chuck Morrow, cmorrow123@att.net.
- Sign up for a pick up by contacting Laura Patterson, (972) 470-9283, patterson1964@sbcglobal.net - no items received or picked up after June 6.
- Consider consignments such as a car or boat? Let us help you sell it in our garage sale with a pre-arranged donation from the selling price. Contact Lee Ann Hodo, leah2910@aol.com.
