STUDENT CHOIR
Sundays at 5:00PM in Worship East (returns August 2022)
We have one of the best youth music programs around, where students get to use their gifts and talents to glorify God. Student Choir is led by our Worship Pastor, Andy Swanner. The youth music program is a great means for students to connect to others and to God in a very powerful way. This also lets our students get involved in the life of our entire congregation by participating in Sunday morning worship services and special events such as Carols. Please contact Andy with any questions about these programs.

Wednesdays are full of energy and excitement as we prepare both spiritually and musically to be our best! Andy often says that Choir & Orchestra is More than Music – We are Family.

Go to the Save it for the Sermon Shop located in the lobby. Once there a member of our Children’s team will walk you through the easy check-in process.
Each child will receive a sticker with their name, classroom and unique security code. The adult checking in will receive a sticker with the matching code for a safe and convenient pick up.
Our classrooms are divided by age and our ratio of leaders to children is 1:5. There are at least two leaders in a classroom, and each leader is trained, background checked and looks forward to serving on Sunday mornings!
What is the SAVE IT FOR THE SERMON SHOP?
This shop full of fun, free items will be located in the Lobby for children 6th grade and younger. Before the 9:30 services, children can “shop” for 4 items that will help keep them engaged during the sermon. The items will be put in a special bag and should stay in the bag until the sermon begins. Once the service is over, return unused or reusable items to the shop.
Will I need to pre-register my child(ren) for childcare or Sunday School?
Registration is not required, however, we will be using a new check-in system for the safety and security of your child(ren). Text “CHECKIN to 972-235-5296 to begin the check-in process on Sunday mornings.
How will I know where my child should go?
During the mobile check-in process, you will have the option to print check-in stickers at the nursery, the Children’s Building, or the shop in the Lobby. You will find their sticker at the printer you choose, and the classroom location will be printed on their sticker. Greeters are available to help you find your sticker and make sure you take your child to the right spot!
Are masks required?
Masks are not required.
What happened to Kids Worship?
The plan for the foreseeable future is to offer quarterly Family Worship experiences and weekly online worship for kids. Kids Worship on Sunday morning does not fit into our current schedule of one worship hour and one Sunday School hour.
Sooo my kids have to go to worship with me?
Yes, we want your kids to join the adults in worship! We know this presents its challenges, but we also believe it produces good things in your kids and is valuable for the entire church. We want your child to feel like they are a part of our whole church and to be known by those in our church family that are 10, 30 and 50 years older than them. We want your child to see adults pursuing Jesus through worship and believe it’s a great thing for adults to be around your incredible kids. There’s a story where Jesus welcomes children into His presence. We are intentionally planning our worship and our sermons to welcome and include your child. You’ll notice special kids moments in the worship service, and we will equip and encourage your child to enjoy worship through our Save it for the Sermon Shop. Give it a try, be persistent, and let us know how we can help!
Smile Stitchers – We get together to complete needlework projects for local children’s hospitals.
Heart Ministry – We reach out and minister to sick, bereaved, and shut-in members of our church.
Mission Trips – We travel together to South Texas, Latvia, and other places where we can share God’s love.
Offsite Bible Studies – We offer more than a dozen bible studies in retirement, assisted care and nursing home facilities. In addition to these mission opportunities, the Senior Adult Ministry is actively involved in volunteering at church, as well as participating in church-wide service efforts to spread the love of Jesus Christ in our community, across the country and around the globe.

As parents, we are presented with a tremendous opportunity. Each child is a gift from God, and He has a plan for each child He has created. Part of that plan includes you as parents. Our church desires to partner with you in your new adventure. FB Richardson has created a spiritual development plan that is available to help you, your marriage and your children. We are calling this plan the Family Covenant Plan.
A covenant is a promise or agreement; a contract. The Family Covenant Plan represents a covenant between the church and the family as well as a rededication of the marriage covenant in light of the parenting responsibility. This service is held at either the 9:30 or 10:50 Worship Service.
“Has not the LORD made them one? In flesh and spirit they are his. And why one? Because he was seeking godly offspring. So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith with the wife of your youth”
