Ronny Marriott is the Lead Pastor of First Baptist Richardson and formerly served as President of the Baptist General Convention of Texas.

A native of Mesquite, Texas, Ronny has been married to his wife, Robin, since 1987, and together they have three children: Molly, a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines; Morgan, a basketball coach at Brady High School; and Ryan, a pilot for American Airlines. Ronny holds a B.A. from Howard Payne University, as well as a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In addition to pastoring, he’s a curriculum writer for Lifeway and GC2 Press and co-authored a book with Robin titled “So That Really Happened? From Ha-ha to Aha Moments.”

When he’s not leading or writing, you’ll likely find Ronny enjoying the outdoors—hunting, fishing, golfing, traveling, or relaxing with a good movie.
