FINDING YOUR PLACE AT FBCR

Finding Your Place is a fantastic class for anyone looking to discover the right spot. We will do a spiritual gifts inventory to determine the areas that are best according to the areas that God has blessed you. Then we will find a ministry or volunteer opportunity that can use your gifts in the best way to fulfill you and others.

parent powwow

The Parent PowWow is returning. This discipleship opportunity is designed for parents to discover the phases your child walks through and to develop conversation starters that will help build a spiritual relationship with your child. Whether you have a 6-month-old or a 16-year-old, all parents are welcome to join in on the journey of discipling kids. Our Kids Pastor, Ashley Wade, facilitates this group of parents finding community with others as they navigate raising kids together.

This spring, Parent PowWow will be going through the book Intentional Parenting. Intentional parenting is the opposite of quick-fix parenting. Intentional parenting is a way to raise children to become healthy, independent young adults. It's based on solid principles which, applied over time, result in less-stressed parents and happier, better-adjusted, and more successful kids. Intentional parenting means you've got more than good intentions; you've got a plan. (And it's always better to have a plan for dealing with the stuff that inevitably crops up between parents and their kids than it is to wing it.)
